Raised in an English/Spanish home in New York, Mal Varlack left the shipping industry in 2015 and found his niche in the insurance industry.
In 2017 Mal joined Grupo Latinoamericano de Seguros as a marketer. Grupo Latinoamericano de Seguros is the bilingual life, health, and annuity distribution team of Amerilife, based in Clearwater, FL. He was tapped in 2019 to become the team lead responsible for the development of the marketers in this branch of Amerilife. This unique division recruits, develops, and trains Spanish-speaking agents and agencies.
The Spanish-speaking agents assist the underserved Hispanic community in making decisions to help themselves and their families nationwide. Wanting to understand his agent’s perspective, Mal obtained the FL life and health insurance license. This has helped him to better assist his marketers and agents to take care of their clients and to navigate through the Medicare and the life insurance space.
In his personal life, he is husband to Maria of 10 years. He has two stepchildren and is an associate pastor of his church in Tarpon Springs, FL. He also enjoys traveling, fishing, golfing, and anything outdoors with his wife.
